It's a shame that Alien Hominid ends - that's my only gripe with the whole game. It ends. But then, you can play through it again and again with friends, turning up the difficulty a notch each time.

A fun and fast-paced 2D side scroller. The graphics are nice and everything runs smoothly, but the game is extremely difficult. Be warned. [PELIT June 05]

Annoyingly, the game is slightly harder than it should be thanks to one glaring omission: there is no diagonal shot.

The game moves along swiftly, the controls are immediate and the blast of sound effects adds to the general silliness to ensure fast- moving fun.

Good game for those looking for something a little different, so long as you've got the jacobs to handle the difficulty level.

This is very much for the hardcore. And, as the hardcore eventually does when it takes over any genre, it ruins the game for anyone but the hardcore. Leave it to them.

Hominid has an abundance of style, spread thick over a fairly brief game. This is cute, blood-thirsty and very old-skool; exactly the kind of thing that makes you want to buy the T-shirt and plush Hominid dolls. It's only a matter of time. [Official UK Xbox Magazine]

Blue Falcon gave it an8:
Somehow it feels original, and a rip off at the same time. It's rare to see a PC flash game arrive on a console, which makes it refreshing. But it does play a lot like the metal slug series - with the side scrolling shooting and hand drawn animations. It's not going to wow you technically, and it's tough, which makes it more suited to non-casual gamers. I've had a lot of fun though, and would definately recommend the game.
