GameSpot
Lacking both the volatile charm and the compelling technical details of the series, it's little more than a halfhearted racing game with some guest appearances by characters and locations you've seen on TV.

One smart idea Activision/Creat Studios did was making this game simple enough for anyone to pick up and play, even if the controls don’t handle too well at times.

While the bike selections are lengthy, the customization is shoddy at best, and the gameplay will have players reminiscing of "Grand Theft Auto" a bit too much. When you can play "GTA" why play this?

Instead of a game that takes its inspiration from the show that it's based on, it appear to have been more inspired by "GTA" than anything else. And if you can imagine how bad a budget title of "GTA" would be, you can imagine how bad American Chopper is.
XboxAddict
A mish mash of already existing titles that seems to have been hastily thrown together to feed off the popularity of the television series. Playing this game for more than an hour is a truly challenging task.

The racing is limited by choppy graphics and horrible controls. [Feb 2005, p.90]

Chad K. gave it a10:
I gave this game a 10 because its really good.
Mike gave it a9:
This is a nice game with a lot of videos. I like it pretty much. I thought it was too much motorocycle driving and not enought motorocycle building. You have to complete missions/chapters to be able to work on building your bike, part by part.
Brandon W. gave it a2:
Whoever made this game must have been having an off week because the game resembles very little of what the show is like. I was being generous even giving it a 2 instead of the 0 it deserves.
Maurice L. gave it a 1:
To make this quick: This game really sucks. The only thing that make me give this a 1 instead of a 0 is that the TV-show is really great.
Jeff W. gave it a 4:
I really think that U would have to be a dead hardcore fan of the TV show to like this game. I don't see how this game could be made fun what so ever I give this game a 4 OUT OF 10.
