Official Xbox Magazine
Provides hours of well-polished, addictive gameplay. [Nov 2004, p.89]
GameZone
A fun game if you enjoy hunting or hunting titles, but it probably wont have enough to bring the casual player into it and keep them hooked for the long run like myself.

The return of the online scoreboard is nice, but additional online features could have really helped push Deer Hunt 2005 Season into the next level of console hunting.

It's virtually the same as last year's "2004 Season," and that wasn't very good either. [Oct 2004, p.95]
Game Informer
We're talking like Weather Channel boring here. Guinness World Record boring. [Oct 2004, p.129]

Josh J. gave it a9:
I think that the bucks should have bigger racks. Also i think that in the log cabin when you shoot more than one deer of the same species it should not replace the other one. Lastly i think that you should be able to see how many "points" the deer is e.g. 12, 4,6
MATT M. gave it an8:
There's one glitch i dont like. if a deer is running at you, you can run right at it and get in front of u. the deer will stop when it hits u giving you a free shot.
Robert S. gave it a 10:
Love it.
Sam gave it a 3:
The graphics are hideous, the controls are clunky and sluggish, and this game unlike what the "Official" X-Box magazine says is the least polished game since the travesty grabbed by the ghoulies.
John S. gave it a 9:
A step up from 2004.
