For the most part it looks and sounds great, and there are definite glimpses of brilliance, which it sadly counter-balances with too many average or frustrating elements. A definite missed opportunity. [JPN Import]

Combat is simply a matter of clobbering the 'B' button, and the increasingly acrobatic combos that are automatically unleashed are little compensation for your bored brain and strained tendons. [JPN Import; Feb 2004, p.111]

Magatama lacks any sense of progress. [Sept 2004, p.88]

JW C. gave it a 4:
Where I live (Singapore), this game has been getting lots of hype because it's a Japan imported exclusive game, tricking everyone to think that this game is great when IT IS NOT. I tried the game and found it extremely repititive and unoriginal. If you want a game like this, get Ninja Gaiden. It might be pretty hard, but its definitely worth trying.
