The three versions of NCAA are virtually identical... The main points involve graphics, and the Xbox version clearly looks the best, sporting the crispest details, richest colors, and best lighting.

Its fast and realistic action should make any joystick jock forget how badly his team is doing in real life, and the endless Dynasty mode will make classes optional for months.

The overall depth and lasting appeal to be had in NCAA Football 2003 is unmatched by any game, on any platform, including its big NFL brother.

Now players can create their own school. Logos, fight songs, playbooks and, of course, players are all at your disposal in what is the most comprehensively immersive college football game mode I've ever seen.

A lot of fun and the depth of features is beyond compare. Easily one of the most immersive football titles made to date.

One area the game is really stellar is the challenge given by the CPU artificial intelligence. This game pushes you and makes you sweat to win, especially when it comes to contests against ranked opponents and when squaring off in a rivalry game.

The rivalry games are incredibly entertaining, and the dynasty mode adds a tremendous amount of replay value to an already great game.

The Dynasty mode in NCAA 2003 is better than any franchise mode in any of the pro games on the market. [Sept 2002, p.99]
Xbox Nation Magazine
Perhaps the finest college football game ever made. [Oct 2002, p.117]

Even with the XBOX being the most powerful console, frame rate problems still plague the game...Still fun to play even with the AI problems and control scheme on the XBOX.

Casey F. gave it a 10:
This game can be played for hours upon end! Great party game to set up a tournament and play until you have a champion. Perfect game to play during the college football season.
Mat C. gave it a 10:
This game can be tweaked a little, but not too much is needed. This has to be THE BEST sports title in the history of console gaming. Completely immersive, and the play by play is BY FAR the best ever made for a console. It's awesome! Can't wait till this becomes playable on Live - that's the only big omission. Once again, this title is worth the jack. If I were in school still, this thing would have me in the dorms, munching cheezypoofs, and on academic probation!
Bry D. gave it a 7:
Terrific Game! I did wonder why they didn't include the create a play option like in Madden 2003. That would have made it perfect!
Xbox Player gave it a 7:
Would be a 10, but I am having the same problem as the others with the glitches. Just returned my copy, got another one and it is doing the same thing. My roomate and I are in the second year of our dynasty, about the fifth game and it will not load. Until this is fixed, I would wait. I am pretty pissed that I am not playing now!!!!!
Pearce N. gave it a 9:
Awesome. Best sports game out there. Create-a-school is fantastic. Graphics, gameplay, options, sound are all A++++
James W. gave it a 10:
This is the grestest fooball game out ever.
Greg R. gave it a 9:
The more I play the more impressed I am. Realism is excellent, variety of plays and outcomes are endless. Graphics are superb. You could play this game for years and still enjoy it. I read some disc error comments. I've never come across any disc errors. Maybe I'm just lucky.
