PJDec 30, 200510I love this film. You have to see "In the mood for love" or all previous Wong Kar-Wai's films to appreciate this one. They are all connected.

GrantT.Aug 12, 20059Once again wong Kar-Wai makes me feel I have just seen what filmmaking can be - diturbing, new , visual, emotional, non-linear, overwhelming ... not an easy ride perhaps but so big and yet so personal.

mcAug 9, 200510It takes a lot of thinking and attention to details to fully understand/appreciate this movie, which is the beauty of it. It gets even more appreciating after having watched "Mood" before this one. Expect something entirely different.

YunL.Jan 29, 200610Visually stunning and the story is beautifully narrated. In my honest opinion, it is simply the best movie of 2005.

TomH.Mar 9, 200610Quite possibly Wong Kar Wai's greatest, most personal film to date. 2046 can be viewed similarly to Adaptation, of the constant struggle between life and art, one imitating (or inspiring?) the other. Goregous, romantic, but overwhelmingly nostalgiac and tragic, 2046 is one of the best films 2005 has to offer.

CharlesM.Oct 10, 200710Superior to "In The Mood For Love" in every single aspect;perhaps Wong kar-wai's crowning achievement.

KeatonK.Oct 25, 200510Wong's intoxicating vision continues to astound and deeply affect. A devastating fetishization of memory and lost love, the performances are startling.

MatthewR.Aug 14, 2005102046 is the 21st century's Casablanca. A film for romantics, it's truly beautiful and if it doesn't touch you, perhaps you've never lost in love before.

CraigL.Dec 27, 20059Excellent movie! Visually stunning, great music, and Chow is such a badass. "In the Mood for Love" was good, but this totally blew it away.

75Only a master director could make such a beautifully flawed film.

60As for the title, well, it made me think of Thomas Carlyle's wife, who read Browning's long poem "Sordello," enjoyed it, but still couldn't work out whether Sordello was a man, a city, or a book. So it is with 2046. A place? A date? A hotel room? A bar tab? You tell me.

100The new film lives up to expectations and, indeed, pushes past them into virtually unmapped territory.
