In the end, the timeliness of 2067’s premise is matched only by the clunkiness of its execution.
The optimistic, twisting core of what 2067 is about will keep genre fans engaged even as the increasingly bad performances and frustrating writing pushes them away at the same time.

This is a great movie that I think that it is underrated. This movie makes you think a lot and put you on thoughts about who can be the villain and what's going on. His plot is sometimes confusing, but in the end all always fits.
It's a great movie, and I think you should give it a chance.

Too big of a budget to say B-movie, cast and plot is also way above that level. Exactly what you would expect if you like 2012 and the day after tomorrow. And of course, the critics will try to suppress anything with a kernel of truth and less focused on pushing political agendas and identity politics. No wonder they call the plot ridiculous because there's actually lots of scientific facts in it although conclusions vary and naturally there has to be artistic freedom, the critics are allergic to certain less known controversial facts naturally, but it makes for an all the more interesting plot.

Despite the too-twisty story and drippy characters, Larney does extremely impressive work with a limited budget, creating an entire world (or two) as if he had the resources of a Marvel escapade, or at the very least a Terminator entry. It’s only a shame that his performers don’t quite match his aesthetic ingenuity, especially Smit-McPhee, who wails and garbles with grating abandon.
The result is a movie that seems unaware just how generic the should-be-distinguishing details of its earnest eco-cautionary tale have turned out.
Almost without fail, Larney's dramatic beats dispense with any build-up before arriving at their intended level of intensity, and the movie overall projects grandiosity without taking the time to make us care about the world being saved.
A cautionary eco-parable wrapped in a seriously dull and myopic time-travel thriller, 2067 bogs down early on in questions of “fate” and “determinism,” and never tears itself free of that bog.
Most of this film is humorless and with not so much of a score as a subwoofer.

An average sci-fi film with a plot line that's been done numerous times before. Acting is average at best. Sets are decent enough. Quite a boring film though. You can see the twists coming a mile away! Not terrible, but not good either.

Kodi Smit-McPhee single-handedly carries on his back a film that seems dead from the start, even with its ambitious premise.
He does a fine job as the lead, but even he isn't able to bring life to a story that gets stuck between what it intends and what it ultimately delivers.

At first I thought it had a good subject mistreated by the screenwriters (holes, inconsistencies, banalities, gaps, voids). Then I realized that also the subject was just the re-proposal of a sacrificial messianic salvation.
