Aug 25, 2013This is an unpretentious little indie with a big film look. It takes you for a fun ride with twists and turns in some very realistic mine locations. If you're claustrophobic, beware. It keeps you guessing up to the very end. Ethan is hilarious. And the entire cast is very very good. Sure the characters do some pretty dumb things but end up paying for it in the end in ways I won't spoil. You won't see it coming.

Sep 11, 2013Abandoned Mine isn't really "horror", but it is horrific. Without beating you over the head with the typical outward formula of most horror films, the writer/director Chamberlain patiently allows the audience enough rope to hang themselves with their own preconceptions of the story as well as sterotypes. Then the story takes off and becomes fun as well as scary. It turned out to be surprisingly entertaining for our teens and their friends. Its a great Halloween thriller.… Expand
Aug 25, 2013This film is a rollercoaster of emotions.
The acting of the young leads is tremendous and the first time directing of Mr. Chamberlain is outstanding.
The film is done within the thriller genre but is void of gratuitous sex, violence, and profanity that is so prevalent with Hollywood films of the same type.
If you are in for a fun ride and unexpected twists then "Abandoned Mine" should be your choice for a scary thrilling ride.
Very appropriate for 13 and over!
Enjoy the ride!
