It's one of the few genuinely funny comedies in a dismal movie summer.
Low of brow and pure of heart, the movie plays like "Animal House" extra-lite, and as such it's decent indecent fun.

I put this movie in expecting to see an American Pie knock-off that I was going to hate. I was pleasantly surprised to find an amusing comedy with a very good point: our current system of higher entertainment ****. If you're one of those yuppies who supports college 100% and believe a future without it is impossible, pass this by. If your one of the people who got rejected from college, or went to college and realized how ridiculous it is, you'll love this movie.

The humour in Accepted is maddeningly safe.
Like its underachieving protagonist, Steve Pink's teen comedy Accepted flashes just enough charm to get by but is too lazy to really make anything of itself.
Accepted will make for a passable alternative to sold-out shows of "Snakes on a Plane," but it's a disappointing debut for the director Steve Pink.
A campus comedy that's as dull as bong water, Accepted is like the product of a community college filmmaking class, remedial division.
This is an underrated movie. Yes the story is thin and completely unrealistic but the characters, specifically Adam Herschman as the crazy teenage chef who experiments with food and Jeremy Howard as the hysterical freak who can blow up with his mind. Accepted has an inspiring court scene, a skatalogical old man, Jonah Hill dressed as a hot dog and a stupid but absolutely hilarious ending.

Not gonna lie I had a good time with this one. It had some really funny parts. Jonah hill was hilarious. The only problem I have is that i just couldn't "accept" the plot of the movie. If you are smart enough to fake an entire college then you are smart enough to actually get into college.

Justin Long plays a slacker who puts together a college for rejects and misfits. Justin Long makes a good lead and the supporting cast is also noteworthy, it offers some laughs and has an interesting premise once you suspend your disbelief. Biggest problem for the film is that it becomes mired in needless cliche's

Accepted has a bit of an original premise and it does take it into some unrealistic territory but it is a pretty fun comedy film. Justin Long makes a pretty solid lead and its unfortunate that he's not playing bigger roles in many movies anymore. Jonah Hill is in the mix and you can really see his potential here. He's really funny. Blake Lively is a great down to earth love interest. Then you have all the crazy side characters that are probably the highlight of the humour. I found this movie to have a pretty good amount of heart and the story may a little unorthodox and clichéd but I'd certainly watch it again.

Typical brain-dead comedy perfectly suited for anyone currently failing college or regretting the fact that they never attended. Cliche in almost every regard, with a horrible leading actor, and a boring "rebellious young teen vs. old white men" philosophy that seals its place in the worst of the worst.
