    While the cast and crew's competence well exceed what anyone would expect from this breed of B movies, they cannot compensate for the flawed internal logic in the screenplay.

    With acting this wooden even among those not playing zombies, though one at least attempts a rural Maine accent, the suspense lies less in who will die than in how grisly the means.

    In the end, there just isn’t much of a movie here; Almost Human clocks in at a mere 76 minutes, and that includes what may well be the slowest end-credits crawl in cinema history.

    More casual fans are advised to wait a movie or two and see if Begos can do anything new with the idiom he knows so well.

    Almost Human is desperately trying to be a spin off of "Fire in the Sky". Nevertheless the movie fails and just turns out to be a disappointing horror film that isn't just scary! If a horror movie fails to be perfect, it should at least scare the hell out of me, in this film, it is not scary. Full Review »
