  1. Fonteyne edges closer than most to capturing the mysterious rhythms of liaisons -- pornographique, romantique, and otherwise.

    A brilliant, haunting film.
  3. An extraordinarily perfect little film: A bittersweet drama that explores sexuality and love, and their reverberations across the landscape of human emotions.
  4. Smells much more like real life than the immediate mating that occurs between expensive movie stars on Hollywood soundstages.
  5. This sweet, pensive gabfest is neither conventionally romantic nor pornographic.
  6. 63
Halfway through, it becomes clear that the filmmakers don't know how to end the film.
  7. Clearly, this is an affair to forget.

Loved it. The French do this sort of movie very well indeed, surprising, tender, engaging and slightly sad. At the end I didn't know whether I wanted them to be together or separate. Don't know the actors or the director but it was masterfully and carefully crafted. Thank you Expand
