The acting is pretty B-level, with some a couple of actors giving a better performance, unfortunately the good performances didn’t come from the ones that the film needed to carry this story into a real, and spooky place that would have made this film a proper ghost story. Mischa’s performance was pretty standard Mischa but Julianne Michelle’s acting seemed fake and the gods only know what character Rebecca De Mornay was channeling. It came off to much of a caricature and theatrical for what the overall atmosphere of this film was going for-unless the director asked for camp. Then I guess... I had to make amends with that element of “Apartment 1303” to watch this film completely. Don’t get me wrong the performances were not atrocious, they just didn’t come together (or mix well) to bring the chemistry and plausibility of the characters where they should have been to draw me in.
As for the effects and soundtrack in “Apartment 1303” I can’t say anything bad because it was all pretty well done and should have, or could have rather, made this film pop chillingly. However it was set up, predictable – copy/paste scenarios that fill almost all paranormal horror films that aren’t found-footage. There was no real sudden shock moments that thrilled me, well twice I did jump but mostly I just sat, very frustrated, waiting for the film to end and **** that it wasn’t as thrilling as it could have been. It just all fell flat.
The practical effects and spook tricks were nice, so kudos to the FX team on this one-too many to mention in this or I would. The sound department did okay, overall the sound effects walked the line between cool and cliché but it did more to help the film than hurt it. The music is pretty standard but it gave the film it’s only real since of emotional communication between story and me. I personally did not get enough out of “Apartment 1303” to find it entertaining or scary but by all means if you see it in the discount bin or get a good deal for renting it and just wanna check it out-go for it-just don’t expect much.

Yes I love 3-D but if it was this bad, I wouldn't have watched it. Apartment 1303 3-D is a horror three- dimensional thriller flick that continues to be bad throughout. The story lacks polish and creativity but at least some 3-D scenes felt better than Avatar's 3-D. Seriously. This 2/10 score only pays good tribute to the director's thinking of this dimension, you know, it's a HORROR dimension. A bad and tasteless dimension this is. This movie absolutely had no good use of the spectacular 3-D effects it could have included. The director should have named this film Mickey Mouse Murder on a One-Night-Stand in f**king 3-D. Yes! It's a movie about a sexy woman who's a call girl that gets murdered and now is haunting poor hotties! Wow, Apartment 1303 3-D is so going for the Razzies this year.

Une espèce de soit-disant film horrifique mais très vaguement horrifique, car le seul truc qui fait peur ici, c’est la nullité absolue de ce navet périmenaze (un remake américain d’un navet japonais de 2007 !) qui nous fait suivre les mésaventures et les atermoiements d’une bécasse dans son nouvel appartement… hanté ! notons qu’elle est bien jolie et sa soeur aussi et qu’on verrait bien mieux ces petites bonnasses dans un gros film de cul…
Mais bon, on ne peut pas tout avoir, même pas un (mauvais) film de cul dans cet appartement qui pue du fion ! uniquement et seulement le ridicule qui l’entoure et qui baigne cette connerie à deux dollars et demi dans laquelle on reconnaîtra sans peine une certaine Rebecca de Mornay (la maman -alcoolique !- des deux bonnasses) laquelle aurait fait une belle milf (un brin cougar je subodore) et une mère maquerelle idéale…
Mais voilà que je suis déjà en train de ré-écrire le scénar de ce nanar tout pourri pour tromper l’ennui… Mais tout de même, encore bien cette chère Rebecca, surtout que Risky Business, ça remonte à… quelque chose comme 1983 ! c’est fou comme le temps passe… mais les navets demeurent, inamovibles…

Apartment 1303 means danger for life.Because, the movie will bore you to death. And danger of death for your Money-bag. We see the first 10 minutes of a teenager every hand movement in the new apartment Commented themselves. That alone gives the impression already that she is totally gone totaly gaga. It's embarrassing as a spectator and one is ashamed very much for this person.
In those 10 minutes, she loves her new apartment. For 5 minutes! Then it drives them back in the madness and at minute number 10 is it already in tears. Similarly bad it then goes on to the end. Frightful for 85 minutes.
The film is an insult to the human mind.
Probably just produced to steal people money and time.
