Michael Jackson fans will love Spike Lee's look back at the making of a classic, even if the extensive collection of clips and contemporary interviews - which could have used a firm edit - feels more suited to DVD.

  1. Spike Lee's Documentary is highly watchable entertainment. It is a long way away from anything revolutionary. I am still waiting for the great Michael Jackson documentary Biopic, and I am betting I will be waiting for many years to come. Michael Jackson was a recording genius and a wizard of modern pop dance. Lee's film never strays from it's purpose, that is to prove he truly is the king of pop. This documentary to the eyes of child could inspire musical prodigies for generations to come. I have one gripe, did we really need to interview Chris Brown? His presence turns this documentary into an unnecessary time capsule. Collapse
