Hecker makes good use of the south Florida locations, and the song selection -- including many Big Band favorites -- is winning.
  3. Accept the challenge. What's good enough for Bart is good enough for you.

A light, funny coming-of-ager set in the endearingly un-hip retirement community of Hollywood, Fla.

The mysterious Bart and the mythology of the senior prom as the defining moment in the life of a teenager are the unseen specters hovering over the slight comedy Bart Got a Room.
  6. The movie imprisons its talented cast (including Alia Shawkat as Danny’s overlooked soul mate and Brandon Hardesty as his worldly best friend) in roles that leave little room for anything but caricature.

With 19 producers, one wonders how many rich Floridians invested in what might be the year's most unambitious comedy.

Delightful comedy, with winning performances from everyone in the cast. Jennifer Tilly has a great bit and is terrific as she always is. Funny, poignant and very well written. Full Review »

I found this movie quite humorous, with a large cast of good, young actors. The two young leads portrayed Senior Class prom organizers, who, in videos they made for their classmates, were convincing as nervous amateurs in front of the camera. That's good acting! Many fun supporting characters as well, in silly situations. I had to chuckle. Full Review »
