TinaFeb 4, 20078This was a feel good funny and sweet movie! Mandy Moore was great as was Diane Keatan. My husband and I enjoyed it all the way through. The entire theater was crowded and everyone was laughing! Fun movie!

TonyB.Jul 5, 20073Not quite bad enough to become a cult favorite, "Because I Said So" is still Diane Keaton's worst film.

AshelyB.Feb 10, 200710I loved it, if your human and not a lame boring person, then you will love it too! Trust me you won't be wasting your money by going and seeing this, it's a cute and funny film with an amazing cast.

JamesC.Feb 26, 20070Don't waste your time with the worst Diane Keaton Film ever made. Why you ask...Because I said so!! It's beyond horrendous.

SomeSmartassApr 10, 20070Are these the only types of roles we can offer Diane Keaton? Absolutely terrible. Even my girlfriend (a chick-flick lover) hated it, that's how atrociously bad it is.

BC.May 10, 20075Sort of entertaining. Some of it is rather absurd, but hey, it's only a movie.

MarkS.Feb 2, 20070One of the Worst films in modern film history. It is painful to watch. It makes The Holiday look like a chick flick masterpiece. Never before has a chick flick been so bad, maybe with exception to Gigli. Avoid, or so help you god.

ShelbiFeb 2, 20072The only reason I didn't give this movie a zero is because I adore the cast. They did the best they could with the material, but the movie was awful awful awful. SAVE YOUR MONEY!

JoeR.Feb 3, 20070So so painful. Worse than anything you'll see this year and years to come.

LindseyP.Feb 4, 200710I loved this movie!!! I don't know why the reviews are so bad, b/c it was extremely funny and great casting. Lauren Graham was amazing in it. It's a movie if you want to laugh!!

BarbFeb 5, 20071Horrible, horrible, horrible!!! I have not seen such a pathetic movie in a long, long time. I am stunned that Diane Keaton (who is a fabulous actress) would associate herself with such a film (if you can even call it that).

AMovieBuffMar 5, 20070Horrible. Simply horrible writing, acting, plot, etc. HORRIBLE.

ErinK.Mar 6, 20071I have loved Diane Keaton since I was 10 and my mother made me watch Annie Hall for the first time. The only thing worse than spending 2 hours of your life watching a soul-sucking, cliche, predictable film that is ultimately offensive to just about any female with a brain, is watching such a brilliant, talented and grounded artist lower herself to being a part of it.

-
PnArdyPnArdyMay 13, 20075I would actually rate it as not so bad and sometimes even funny light comedy romance. A mother (Diane Keaton) sets up a date for her daughter, but fails to control the situation and the other, less perspective, guy pops in. Definetely not as bad as the critics say.

KevinH.Feb 22, 20071Do not dare see this movie. It is one bad gag after another; a giant cliche that goes nowhere.

Nov 12, 20111There are to many good directors waiting for an opportunity to make great movies with great ideas, but Hollywood rather to make stupid movies like this one

Like nearly all of Lehmann's post- "Heathers" work, it's lazy and disinterested--a hack-for-hire job any number of film-school grads could have put through its uninspired paces.
-
33This slapdash, charmless, baldly boomer-chasing romantic comedy, directed by Michael Lehmann (Heathers) from a clunky, orgasm-obsessed script by Karen Leigh Hopkins and Jessie Nelson, is the lazy studio's answer to a call for more age-appropriate entertainment for "More" magazine readers.
-
75Despite being rooted firmly in "chick flick" territory (with a high "cuteness" index), it has the capacity to please to viewers of both genders who appreciate the genre.
