  • Summary: Born to be Wild 3D is an inspired story of love, dedication and the remarkable bond between humans and animals. This film documents orphaned orangutans and elephants and the extraordinary people who rescue and raise them—saving endangered species one life at a time. Stunningly captured in IMAX 3D, Born to be Wild 3D is a heartwarming adventure transporting moviegoers into the lush rainforests of Borneo with world-renowned primatologist Dr. Birute Galdikas, and across the rugged Kenyan savannah with celebrated elephant authority Dame Daphne Sheldrick, as they and their team rescue, rehabilitate and return these incredible animals back to the wild. Although it runs just a fleet 40 minutes, the film proves a rich and memorable journey.

A good nature film - and a great technical achievement.

The women's efforts have already had a fair amount of publicity, so the attraction here is the cinematography, and it makes good use of Imax and 3-D technology, with lovely aerial views and startling close-ups.

Sticks faithfully to the giantscreen brand's impress-and-educate formula.

Ironically, Born to Be Wild banks solely on its tameness to captivate and inspire, aided by an upbeat, sometimes incongruous soundtrack.

If not for its outsize IMAX presentation, this handsome nonfiction film would be little more than an uplifting episode of PBS's "Nature."

Best doc I have seen in a long time. Well filmed and overall put together. Their use of 3D made Avatar look like a re-run of a Smurfs episode. Highly recomend if you care about animals. Expand

Adorable...jumps around a little too much (back and forth, back and forth) between the two stories. IMAX views very impressive. Loved every minute of this documentary. Expand
