His adversaries are powerful people with top connections, but Boss is a one-man-army. He will demolish everything that comes in the way of his family - be it a dangerous cop or a corrupt Minister. There will be loads of action, loads of fun and loads of excitement in this entire journey. A journey that will lead to combat in the historic war ground of Kurukshetra where once again, after centuries, good and evil will battle one another. And once again, evil will be vanquished from the face of the Earth. But this time, it will all be - Boss style. [Krian Media] Expand

Boss is billed as an action comedy, but it isn’t always clear what is part of the joke and what isn’t.

Boss is a film suffering from one fundamental problem, to wit: a lack of commitment to its central purpose.

The deafening Bollywood action comedy Boss, directed in broad, heavy strokes by Anthony D’Souza (“Blue”), is a relentless hard-sell star vehicle, a two-and-half-hour string of sledgehammer fighting and dancing sequences.

It's his dialoguebazi and filmygiri that make you smile, no matter how corny the one-liners. He climbs the walls at a lightning speed like a Spiderman, jumps over rooftops, trucks and makes his way in a crowded place by walking over the heads of his enemies. He makes gravity-defying stunts look believable. We particularly liked this elaborate chase sequence which looks like it's been shot in one-take. From cracking of bones to the crunching of chanas that the villain munches on, the sound effects add to the intensity of the slow-mo stunt scenes. Expand
