"Charlotte Sometimes" shares the same story problem as "You Can Count on Me", in which a person's reappearance(Charlotte and the Mark Ruffalo character, respectively) seems anti-climatic. Smart, deeply involving and erotic beyond words. A perfect film with none of the cloying self-awareness one often finds in noir-inspired independents. I care about these characters deeply and want things to turn out okay for them. This film Smart, deeply involving and erotic beyond words.
