Stupid, silly and not funny. Great cast that have no chemistry together and it is easily one of the most uncreative experiences I have faced. I give this movie 2%.

Read the book. It will take you the same amount of time as the movie, and it's definitely more enjoyable.

There's nothing funny about Christmas with the Jerks. It's plain too boring.

Okay, in exactly how many Christmas movies has Tim Allen been casted in? Too many for me to count. Either Allen really likes Christmas or he just thinks he does well in a holiday movies. Either way, quite frankly, I am getting weary of the "Tim Allen/Christmas" connection. Granted there are some funny parts, but I think I speak for most when I say that Allen should give the Christmas gig a break.

Takes the Christ out of Christmas for good! Probably filmed in "SatanVision." Should have been called "Aweful and Awefuller".

This was terrible! My friend and I walked out of a movie for the first time in our lives halfway through this. It's filled with plot holes and inconsistencies. [They are avoiding Christmas to save money. How does that translate to not going to parties or putting out decorations that they already own? And how do they stand up to pressure and ostracism from everyone around them for days, but then suddenly can't bare to disappoint their supposedly adult daughter? These are just two of several.] The humor is cliche` and overdone. The story has not a single sub-plot or side-story. The movie is full of all the old movie-cliches and idiot-humor that should have died out a decade ago. The only good things were Dan Aykroyd doing some funny expressions for precious few seconds, and Curtis showing how good she looks for her age in a bikini. Don't nauseate yourself or throw away your money with this waste of time. Expand

A wonderful movie. No vulgar language, no trashy sex, no murder or blood. Why can't more movies be like this? It's just a funny movie, and one all mothers can relate to - the feeling of Christmas without your child being there. Yes, it borders on absurd, but it's not meant to be a Christmas "event" - just a funny movie. I'm a Christian, but that doesn't make Christmas a boring event. Expand

It was okay if your a 6 month old baby and had no idea how bad it was. Not very funny and it had a Very Bad story line. It almost remined me of a movie made by Disney. A very bad Disney movie by Disney. Many times while watching the movie I wish I was a baby that had no idea how bad it was.

Painful. I saw this in the theatre with my family after thanksgiving dinner. I remember feeling overjoyed that the movie appeared to be over ... only to discover that there was another half-hour of this drivel to suffer through. The worst thing about it was the fact that I couldn't walk out.

It was an okay movie. Its a good family movie and is somewhat enjoyable and has a good message at the end BUT most of the funny moments in the movie were ruined by the previews. You will still laugh but dont go expecting anything different from the previews, The Previews basically lay out the whole movie, the movie is entertaining but not as high standards as Finding Neverland, Ray, The Incredibles and The Polar Express. I thought this was a good Christmas movie. There were some really funny parts, but there were also some parts that could have been better. Overall there was more entertaining parts, so it turned out to be a good movie. But, I would recommend just waiting until it comes out on video.

Easily the worst movie of the year, slightly edging out close competitors "Surviving Christmas" and "Baby Geniuses 2". Awful in every sense of the word. Clunky, badly-editied scenes intersect with horrendous dialogue and even worse acting. I have seen close to 200 movies in 2004 so I know what I'm talking about it. Don't waste your time.

A stinker, never has Christmas been so annoying and rotten, it's boring and so unfunny that when a joke works (which is almost never) we yell Halleluia. Allen and Curtis dissapointed me profoundly.

I had high hopes for this film. I thought that with Jamie Lee Curtis behind the wheel, it would be one of those diamond in the rough, come out of nowhere, maybe a little dirty, treasures that you will be watching every year at this time. Boy, was I wrong. This is nothing but a crappy spin on the grinch story, with mean mr. krank coming around at the end, as predicted. It started out slow, and began to heat up (Curtis and Allen at the tanning saloon, showed potential), but then took a big fat nose dive into one huge christmas cliche; the neighbors coming togethor to help out their "fallen from grace" neighbors to pull of a party and realize what Christmas is really about. And, yes folks, there even is a musical sequence with the worst voice overs since Hilary Duff in "Raise Your Voice". I got so bored watching this movie that i could not wait to get out of the theater. The only true humorous moments were Curtis's "yelping" scenes. Beleive me, use ur $7.50 to go see "Finding Neverland" instead, because this isn't anything but a sure fire parady for future SNL episodes. Expand

I thought that this was really funny. There were a lot of funny moments in it, such as the part with the holiday ham. To me, it is an unforgetably funny Christmas movie.

Ultimately something of a softball satire, its climactic evocation of the "true meaning" of the holidays is surprisingly touching.

Not an abomination, although it is uninspired and insipid. As such, it's perfect television fare.
  3. 30
Hard not to pelt the screen with rotten fruit when confronted with a film like Christmas With The Kranks.
