My boyfriend and I went to see it at the cinema. He's just like the guy.. never grasping those happy times, thinking everything is about his job. Whilst watching it, I couldn't help but cry near the end. It was beautifully breath taking. Maybe some people could learn from his mistakes & change their life. Realize the importance of family & their relationship, rather than a promotion at work. Simply amazing...I will definately be buying it. Expand

It probably should have left off the coda in which everything worked out all right. Then it would have had the nerve to be a "10." As it is, it's a mildly Jewish "It's a Wonderful Life," and it's nice to see Kate Beckinsale as a Jewish mom.

One of the best movies I've seen in a long time. I definitely didnt expect this from an Adam Sandler movie. The film probably targets the younger generation, which may answer why many find the film to be "stupid" or not funny. Personally, the film includes just the right mixtures of jokes and emotional touches. 2 thumbs up.

While this wasn't some amazing movie, it was a good movie. It had it's laughs, but it was a more meaningful movie overall. I think all the critics were pissed because it played on emotional strings and we all know they don't have any...they hate everything.

This movie was spectacular! Before i saw this movie I thought Adam Sandler, i'm going to be laughing during the whole movie. But I was wrong. It was hilarious in the beginning but then it took a dramatic twist. It got very depressing and almost made me cry, and it amazed me how they could still fit in hilarious jokes through the sad parts. It was very creative and made me laugh alot!

Loved this movie. Although the humor was somewhat vulgar at times, the emotional turns of the movie hit close to home and were extremely well done. Adam Sandler steps up his game for this movie and I was highly impressed. Great message; I would recommend this movie to everyone.

Touching storyline (similar in tone to "Its a Wonderful Life" and Thorton Wilder's play "Our Town") but nearly ruined by endless sex and bathroom humor. Could've been a classic otherwise.

One of the best Sandler films I have seen in years. It did feel like the film was cut in to two parts, you could see where the film was going and how it would end but it was well put together and the effects in the later half of the film was stunning. Supporting cast put on a great show and this film could bring a tear to your eye if it wasn't Sandler.

An enjoyable movie, with poignant details that seldom spring out of the lake. Perhaps Adam Sandler has been maturing, for his last few films, Spanglish & Punch Drunk Love, have been treasures. This statement does not mean that Adam Sandler is a fine actor, only that he has gained respect for his audience. What better style, than this, to get your message across to the children/youth of contemporary North America? For some that believe they live a dolorous life, this movie will cheer them up. As in any LA movie, it is superficial, but warm. This is a good movie for a family to watch, and possibly to further discuss. Adam Sandler & his team know precisely their audience, not the critics, but the families. Expand

'Click' seemingly starts out will with it's cutesy family wisecracks. And the first couple instances where Michael uses the remote for his own personal kicks is somewhat funny. After that, there really are no laughs to be had. Its just the same joke exhibited over and over again with different alterations. Even the dog Sundance's incessant humping of a stuffed duck gets old real quick as the film advances. This is tragic because 'Click' is being passed off as a comedy but unmistakably isn't funny. Another fault the film bears is the main character Micheal is nowhere as entertaining as Morty. Not only did Walken do a better job of acting, he is overall more enjoyable to watch. Truth be told, Morty is actually the only thing that holds this mess together. And only slightly better than average direction by Frank Caraci who also did two of Sandler's other films ('The Waterboy' and 'The Wedding Singer') only contributes dullness to this already colorless movie. There are however a few heartfelt moments displayed throughout the extent of the film. But in the final scenes there's supposed to be a big profound moment when Michael desperately tries to tell his son how family comes first with his last breaths but Sandler just doesn't deliver. Who honestly expected splendid acting from him though? But despite all the downsides 'Click' presents, many people will still enjoy it. What can I say, fart and sex jokes sell. Expand

I thought this movie was embarrassingly bad. The concept itself was interesting, and it could of been a cool movie I think; but the script, and especially the acting was just all totally awkward. It was hard to watch how bad Sandler was in those emotional scenes. I like the guy, but this movie was pure crapola to the highest degree.

This was a really really good movie! I'm surprised it wasn't 100% comedy like usual Adam Sandler movies...I mean, near the end I was forcing back tears! With less reliance on the scatalogical, "Click" had the makings of a solid middle-brow effort. The metaphor at the heart of this movie is an odd fit for farting and amorous dogs. The finale breaks like the wind. But the dramatic moments leading up to Michael's personal abyss is oddly moving, which makes one wistful that "Click" didn't pander to a demographic who is happy with a lowest common denominator brand of humor. If "Spanglish" received better reviews, maybe Adam Sandler would've been encouraged to use this premise as his next project in which to alienate the fan base. Expand

This was easily one of Adam Sandler's funniest movies. For an hour and fifteen minutes, I did nothing but laugh at this pitiful schlub. However, this movie could have done without it's overly sentimental finale. This movie proved one thing to me: David Hasselhoff CAN act after all. If you can sit through the last fifteen minutes without getting bored, I strongly recommend this otherwise hilarious movie Expand

Frank Capra's masterpiece It's A Wonderful Life just won the top spot on the American Film Institute's recently televised list of The 100 Most Inspirational Movies Of All Time, but it's highly doubtful that Adam Sandler's demented take on it will land anywhere near the list should the AFI update it in 30 years. Now if we're talking "The Top 100 Crassest Unacknowledged Film Remakes" or "The Top 100 Most Egregious Molestations Of A Seemingly Sure-Fire Premise" or "The Top 100 Movies That Most Make You Want To Take A Shower After Seeing Them (And We Don't Mean A Cold One, Either)" THEN we're talking Top Ten status here. [***SPOILERS***] Sandler plays alleged Everyman Michael Newman, a perpetually foul-tempered, family-neglecting, workaholic architect who's given a true "Universal Remote"--a hand-held device that allows him to not only control his TV set and gagage door but also his entire world; this sensationally clever, MAD Magazine-style premise just hums with possibilities, almost none of which are realized or explored in a movie that's far more interested (obsessed, in fact) with typical Sandler juvenalia: flatulence, liposuction flaps, nymphomaniacal neighbors, transsexual coworkers, soulless plastic Maxim-model women (which, sadly, includes Kate Beckinsale as Newman's wife) and gratuitous guest appearances by demon hellbeast (and Sandler bud) Rob Schneider. The basic script by Steve Koren and Mark O'Keefe, is a be-careful-what-you-wish-for premise structured very much like the duo's previous, Capra-flavored Bruce Almighty, but since Sandler and his peeps DIDN'T get their grimy paws on that one, it actually was genuinely sweet, funny, insightful and even kind of profound; this variant is mostly just mean-spirited, offensive and in places rather hateful. Wonderful Life's George Bailey may have been an imperfect human being (that was one of the elements of Capra's film that made it work so beautifully), and he was certainly capable of such hurtful acts as unjustly chewing out his youngest daughter's hapless, well-intentioned schoolteacher--but good old George would NEVER have taken such sadistic glee in torturing the next door neighbor's kid. (Newman actually brings him and ANOTHER child to tears several times throughout the movie; this passes for a running gag, and in this case "gag" is the perfect word to describe it.) Shockingly, Click is not Sandler's worst movie by far: it DOES have some genuinely intriguing futuristic production design in its later scenes; the comparison made of Newman to the Lucky Charms leprachaun is quite thought-provoking; Henry Winkler and Julie Kavner as Newman's parents lend a high level of charm and class to the movie that's highly undeserved but thank God it's there; Ben Hoffman as his grown-up son brings so much dignity and conviction to his role that he seems to have come in from an entirely different movie, and admittedly I laughed out loud the first three times the family dog mounted the stuffed duck before the movie's dozens of endless variations on that joke made me really sorry I did. I can't give nominal director Frank Coraci (The Wedding Singer) credit for any of these nominal virtues because, let's face it, Sandler is the true auteur of most of his movies and Coraci, Dennis Dugan, Steven Brill and Peter Segal are merely sycophantic yes-men whose major function is to prevent the players from (unintentionally) bumping into each other. Give Sandler the rights to Doestoyefsky's The Brothers Karamazov and he'll turn it into a celebration of brain-dead psychotic adolescent rage; if I had my very own magic remote, I'd use it to erase the tapes in my head of most of his previous work and to block out any future Sandler films in which Sandler DOESN'T relinquish total creative control to Paul Thomas Anderson (Punch-Drunk Love) or James L. Brooks (Spanglish) or any other artist who's aware of Sandler's undeniable talent and knows how to pull it out of the pool of excrement with which Sandler, left to his own devices, repeatedly displays such infantile fascination. If this movie was about one thing it was about presence and the importance of those you care about. This movie illustrated the concept of being present better than any Hollywood movie I've seen. This spiritual practice is especial for a world that is so caught up in materialism and convenience. As for the comedy there were several really funny scenes. At times it was a little wonkie, but that just added to the charm. I do not however think this is a movie for the kiddies. There were several adult oriented scenes, so be mindful of this if you have young children. Overall I heartly recommend this movie. Now that I think about it Click reminds me of The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind but a little less serious. Click at times was surprisingly serious but the comedy really helped it not to get too bogged down. I guess if i were to tag a moral of the story on this movie it would be, be careful of what you wish for you just might get it, or miss it as in Click. Expand

It was funny in the first parts of the movie but then it got dramatic and sad and all these very sad things were happening. Sandler's been having a little slump with comedy and more drama in his movies. First part when he finds the remote and plays with it: Funny. When it malfunctions at the end: Too dramatic, not funny

Really, I don't understand why critics didn't seem to like this one. I would have loved to have read that Wall Street Journal review that called it "an abomination" because after watching this movie, I was really amazed by its brilliance. The first half is a very enjoyable Adam Sandler comedy, the last half is a very interesting story with some really emotional moments that were greatly pulled off. The futuristic worlds were also pulled off very well and I liked how the movie ended. My only complaint was that sometimes the transitions between moods was a bit jarring but overall, Click was a very well-made movie and a surprisingly sad one and it's highly recommended. Expand

Adam Sandler is somewhat talented comedian who approaches his incredibly successful films in the most annoying manner of combining unfunny, mean-spirited humor with cloyingly schmaltzy sentimentality. This is especially true in Click, a film that would have been just another unfunny Adam Sandler movie, but instead becomes a cloyingly bad drama, rife with histrionic and sophomoric moments of tearjerking and bookended by ridiculous cop-outs. A movie staring Sandler and Walken should be one of the funniest films ever. But this movie is such a downer. There are times when you actually want to cry. Normally if a movie evokes that strong of an emotional response, it's great, but this is supposed to be a comedy! Not a drama! Have to say though this isnt one of his best movies, there didn't seem to be a connection between Adam & Kate at all, which didnt help the movie to be honest.
