    Even naysayers of reality TV's simplistic structure, which the film openly borrows, may find themselves rooting for a couple of choice -- and having fun in the process. The real-estate game can actually be a laughing matter when you're not a contestant.

    Closing Escrow can't even execute the bare-bones requirements of mediocre mockumentaries, as its unbelievably quirky characters' not-funny behavior is punctuated with awkward silences and L.A. clichés.

    The actors are all extremely talented and brought believability to the material.

    Closing Escrow is more of a spoof than a 'mocumentary...' I found it funny.
