Enter Barry, a guy with a passion for dressing mice up in tiny outfits to recreate great works of art. (Paramount for Schmucks) Expand

  1. It's outstanding work (Carell). It's also a really funny movie.
  2. Dinner for Schmucks goes up in flames. Amusingly, perhaps -- but creatively, too.
  3. Though Carell and Rudd are both saddled with characters that just aren't as interesting as many they've played in the past, the movie benefits from having drawn many gifted comedians to supporting roles.

The film is sporadically amusing but gives the impression it should be generating more laughs than it does.
  5. 50
    It's suprisingly flat.

With Paul Rudd as the would-be mocker and Steve Carell as the mockee, and all manner of new supporting characters and plot lines thrown in, and much less energy, delight, wit, humor and fun than the original was able to muster without any evident strain. There's the occasional bubble, I confess, but almost no delight.
  7. Pathetically unfunny most of the time.

One of the funniest movies of all time. Only a few movies can make me tear, and this is one of them.

Though some moments of the film (including its premise) are fairly low, it still has its moments and Steve Carell does prove to be hilarious.

There were a FEW laughs to be found, but overall it was quite forgettable in every way. The "Artist" in this movie is one of the most horrendously unfunny characters I have seen in a long time. The dinner, however, was the only really funny part of the movie. I really like Steve Carell, but he is really annoying in this one. Not a complete waste of time, but definitely a sub-par comedy that is worth no more than a rental. I'm just glad this was a matinee for us. Expand

This movie was terrible, awkward, and stupid. You must be dumb if you liked this. The guy named Barry in this movie was just plain annoying. This movie was terrible, awkward, and stupid.
