This movie was OK. I refuse to call it good or bad. I loved the story and the idea for dracula, but for such a good story i would have felt a slower, longer movie would have better than the break neck speed this one moves in.

I gave this movie a 9 becasue, i think that the actors are lovely but the ending sucks. In almost every movie Gerard was in he dies. PLus everyone says Vampires can't breathe, why did he die by getting strangeled? Gerard is the lovelyest (Not even a word, but there should be a picture of Gerard beside it in the dictionary!) Man on earth.

I went to this movie expecting to be scared. Unfortunately I came out disgusted. Didn't anyone review the script before they agreed to do this sorry mess? It was just awful!

A nice twist on the origins myth, this is a vampire film which modernizes the story well, and still has room for humour. If you're looking for a vampire film of nothing but gore and eroticism, look elsewhere. This one is just plain entertaining - leave the misconceptions behind and just sit back and relax.

A very good vampire film. It's closer to action than horror, and this does away with "lurking in the shadows" and cheap scares. There's an unconventional cast, but the basic acting doesn't get in the way too much. The narrative unfolds as a vampire hunt and a montage of motive. The gore is generally underplayed, and even with it's length, it's simply fun to watch. I've seen it twice in one week, to date. Expand

This movie was great! The way the actors are dressed especialy Gerrad you could think he was a real vampire. The movie i think is much beter suited action than horror but it still is an amazing movie scary or not.

This movie was practically a bite off of Eddie Murphy's "Vampire in Brooklyn." The plot between the two didn't differ that much. The only good thing about this movie is a part near the end where Dracula offers a bit of philosophy about life and what he thought was being held back from the human race and how he could or can make life better than it was. The effects were better in this movie, and the acting was pretty good. I suggest that Patrick Lussier rent "Vampire in Brooklyn" and admit he watched it too many times in order to be able to come up with this movie's plot. Expand

As a fan of the horror genre I have to say this is one of the most pathetic and offensive attempts at exploiting one of the greatest and most intriguing characters in horror history. 1990s and the beginning of the 21st century seem to be marked by this kind of "Baywatch" horror movies which are made with the sole purpose of making money of gullible audience members such as myself who persist at watching this trash, hoping for a movie that could match some of the 70s or 80s classics. The first impression I got when I read the reveiws is 'Oh, it's just another stupid Dracula re-make' ,and everyone keeps saying how crappy the acting is but I went and saw it anyway and it wasn't half as bad as they said it was, in fact I was almost enjoying it. Almost.

I LOVED DRACULA 2000, the actors are wonderful and the script was well planned out!! It definatley makes you jump a couple of times!!! Wes Craven is always going to be the king of screams!! Patrick Lussier did a great job directing. Dracula 2000 was one of the best vampire films it looks at it from the biblical text.

This movie has simply been the best vampire movie since I have seen it a few years back. There has been no equal vampire movie. This was before Gerard Butler became popular so he still had impressive acting skills. He played probably the best vampire I have seen. Jennifer Esposito played a very sexy vampire in this movie as well. It was not that technologically advanced in terms of speciall effects but was impressive. The music in this movie was something I really liked too. Expand

Overall, though, the slapdash pic appears to be the work of folks who made things up as they went along; you might say they were, well, vamping.

One way or the other, there really is something to be said for a movie which seems to revel in its own inherent comic-book silliness.
