Even the film's one "original" twist is just a desperate attempt to link it up to Ghost Rider, the only lousy Nicolas Cage action film that is actually spawning a sequel.

Cage's avenger is named Milton; this reference to the author of Paradise Lost is the sole hint that Old World culture ever existed in Drive Angry's convoy of hyperbolized-unto-parody Americana: bad drawls, obese gawkers, roadhouse demonology, coochie-cutter shorts, and engines revving under guitar stomp.

Drive Angry is something new for Cage - a movie that feels like it's straight FROM cable.

"Drive Angry 3D" is a revenge exploitation (Not sure of that) film about....revenge. It's excessive with blood and gore as well as hell. The story goes up the hill with inane 3D effects as well as the arrogant dialogue, but you'll like it thanks to the sexy Amber Heard and a cool ass Nicholas Cage (Ya know, Nicholas Cage could actually continue his career with acting in B-grade movies like these) . Overall I would advise you to rent it, but watch it with pure fun. R) 5.5 Full Review »

"Drive Angry" is a bottom-rung action flick that comes up short--never seizing any sort of connection with its viewers; lacking any sort of directorial control, intactful character progression and substance, shoddy special effects, and overdone, often intolerant lewdness situated amongst the most unbelieving of circumstances. The film is host to a lasting effect of shortcoming; creating a smutty after taste of despondency and a near failure of a movie. The result, a plethora of plot holes and ambiguity camouflaged by shots of pneumatic rears, bouncing breasts, and overall insipidness. Full Review »
