A touching and almost ridiculously inspirational story for all of us.
  2. An inspirational movie about a inspiring figure: Emmanuel Ofosu Yeboah of Ghana.

The heroic struggle of its subject is clearly meant to inspire, but it also seems destined to shame weak-willed viewers who'd crumble under much less formidable obstacles.

The producers managed to screw-up a very compelling subject. The extraordinary fate of Emmanuel and Jim McLaren are inspirational in their own right. But the film is smothered with a heavy hand of syrupy “stuff” and a litany of "dramatic" interviews some of them sound so phony that they are disturbing. All this coupled with the content of the voice over drive you away from this otherwise extremely moving and wonderful subject. Yet, this documentary deserve to be seen by everybody and discussed in schools. Expand
