Feb 6, 20115Friday is ghetto, stereotypical and kinda funny. Even though it is extremely mediocre, Ice Cube gives one the best performances in his career here. Fans of the Cube will love this film, just for his dead-pan humor. Others will probably hate it for Chris Tucker's annoying tendencies.

Oct 12, 20109Friday is a film that assures us that even in the ghetto of Los Angeles, there are lessons to be learned. This is not only a comedy, but a beautiful hybrid of funny and in-all-seriousness that is genuine. Ice Cube and Chris Tucker make this a joyride from start to finish.

A refreshingly lighthearted look at day-to-day life in the inner city, Friday does suffer from a few problems in the scripting and directing departments, but entertains nonetheless, thanks mainly to the easygoing style of its talented cast.
-
25It takes about 20 minutes to catch on that Friday is without narrative drive - and about as long to figure out that the film offers nothing better in place of it.
-
Friday may touch its young target audience. For everyone else, it is more intriguing as a social problem than a movie.
