With Carrey hitting a career peak, this Grinch doesn't steal Christmas; it restores the season by helping energize us enough to make it through the whole thing.
Carrey is excellent, making the most of his comic gifts even in a cumbersome Grinch outfit, and the eye-spinning color scheme is dazzling to behold.

this is one of the best Christmas movies It's funny and it has an amazing look for the Grinch

Leave it to Ron Howard to turn a plaintive Dr. Seuss ditty into a C-grade Tim Burton psychodrama.
The scenes involving just him (Carrey) are funny and full of life. All the other scenes are not.
I am not a mind-reader and cannot be sure, but I think a lot of children are going to look at this movie with perplexity and distaste. It's just not much fun.
The dullest, clunkiest, big-budget fantasy since Steven Spielberg flattened Peter Pan in "Hook."
Profoundly unnecessary -- cluttered, padded even at 90 minutes, indifferently narrated by Anthony Hopkins, and consistently misdirected by Ron Howard.

Fantasy comedy film made in 2000. Christmas celebrations have a bad character in the film enemies. This character Grinch's name and this character to play as best comic villains Jim Carrey gives life. But we can not see what's funny in this film because it mimics the furry creature. Although the Grinch movie funny in places, can be boring. Movies can be watched comfortably from the family.

The Grinch is a wonderful film that pulls us into a magical world. This is achieved with the amazing set and costume design that made it all feel so real. The Grinch and the Whos, even with their pointy noses, add to the immersion of the film.
I lost a bit of interest around the middle (probably because I've seen this too many times) but the ending really pays off and is my favourite part of the film. I think it used to be one of my favourite endings to a Christmas film, it's very special.
"Maybe Christmas doesn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas... perhaps... means a little bit more". This is a very important message that is relevant today.
