chucksterAug 2, 20052It's awful, in just about every way imaginable.

JohnC.Oct 31, 20047It's good enough. Just a bit of ambitious, if light, entertainment which will appeal more if you don't take it as seriously as Ms. Dargis.

skydiverSep 23, 20067I enjoyed this movie because it's haunting and mysterious from the start. The discovery of the clones without love is enlightening. It's all about love indeed. And when love disappears, the world is going to be turned upside down. You must see it because it sets you in a very special mood. Peace and love!

ShaunK.Nov 9, 20049Extraordinarily bizarre! Sure this film has its flaws, but it's a treat for the imagination and rich in imagery and comments about the current world situation. Don't trust the critics, you have to see this for yourself. It's one of the best films of the year!

JayI.Oct 23, 20054Incomprehensible and confusing as a movie, the director could have worked less at being "profound" and artsy-craftsy. Some good visual moments are marred by an uncomfortable cast a really silly science.

JimSDec 3, 20052A disjointed attempt at metaphors about love, loss and betrayal. When the movie needs a pseudo-narrator (Sean Penn) to try and explain the movie's meaning then it is lost. And I would think that New Yorkers would be losing their gravity long before Ugandan' s would. Come on!!!!

RipW.Dec 8, 20050Attempts allegory, succeeds as garbage. Really awful. Vintenberg should give the money back. Even while you're watching it, you still can't believe it is so bad -- worse, you can't believe you're watching something so boring.

DiegoAAug 11, 200510Trace the movie back to Empedocles explanation of "love" as the force that attracts all different forms of matter. Nowadays that force is called "gravity" but it's actual nature is still a mistery. The movie shows a universe where (human) love and (physical) gravity are dissapearing -of course- at the same time. ILY.

JeffB.Jan 6, 20064This was a total waste of time. The only reason why it even gets four is beacause of the gorgeous Claire Danes appears in four roles.

May 6, 20113Sorry, I wanted to like this because of the talent involved but it turned out to be a boring mess. Scenes plod on too long with no real point and the whole thing ultimately feels empty. It tries to come across as deep but it's really just incomprehensible.

20There are so many things wrong with Thomas Vinterbergs Its All about Love that if I wrote them down, this would be a five page review that would sound like a spiteful rant.
-
30The director doesn't display the spirit of a natural entertainer; while intellectual notions abound, he never grabs the audience by the hand to pull them into the tale emotionally.

70It's the sort of movie that could haunt your dreams for weeks. In the end, it is, as promised, all about lovethis brave, foolish, improbably moving film's great achievement may be the utter sincerity with which it lives up to its title.
