Heartstring-tugging if a bit humorless.
There’s a fine, fierce film somewhere in Jenny’s Wedding, trying to claw its way out from under all the clichés, speechifying and sappy pop music.

This is a great movie to watch on a lazy afternoon. Jenny who is 30ish woman. She has never brought a guy home. Everyone tells her that she should get married as her biological clock is ticking. While talking to her father she confessed that she is in relationship. She realises that she should get married and start a family. Later she comes out and tells her parents that she is a lesbian. On her mother's request she hides it from her sister only to hurt her later. Jenny's brother happily accepts her and tells her that he knew this since high school. Jenny's sister reconciles and also ends her troublesome relationship with her husband. In the end Jenny's parents also agree to be a part of the wedding. The movie shows the difficulty of life of LGBTQ+ group. The behaviour of society, lack of acceptance of family members, and a lot of issues of LGBTQ community. I loved the movie and would recommend it to everyone.

Is there any better **** themed movie for the family audience?
This is an awesome movie for families, maybe except orthodox families. It is a lesbian theme, but not a romance movie. A beautiful drama filled with some good humours. This is not about two women falling in love and their relationship complications, but the family of one of them who struggle to accept after knowing their daughter is a ****. The daughter wanted to marry her sweetheart and start a family. So how things shape up within the family, who lose, who gain and what happens at the end is the remaining.
The title says it is a Jenny's wedding, but the wedding is a small part, the rest is all about Jenny's family. While portraying the family about how they're coping with the news, I liked how the film focused one at a time and their way of coming out of the frame they're in. Mostly it was the perspective of the women, because the writer was a woman, so she knew how to carve it. That's why the father's part slightly lacked the exhibition, nevertheless, that's the only male character that has to be so tough.
Such a wonderful narration, totally an unexpected movie. Surely one of the underrated movie of the year. The cast was fantastic. Among all the characters, Alexis Bledel's role was disappointingly shorter. Anyway, she was not that important, but the rest of them had played their part exceptionally. Great dialogues, sometimes emotionally gets us. Is there any best **** themed film for families, I've not seen quite good as this one. I definitely recommend it.

This is a movie displaced in time. And it’s barely a movie. It’s more like a dusty, faded old pamphlet: “So your daughter’s decided to get gay-married…”
Tolerance in the film doesn't so much suggest a recognizably real epiphany as it does a moving Hallmark card.
A movie so hopelessly late to the coming-out party that you want to haul everyone connected with it into the 21st century.
Any humor, though, is buried deep in bad writing. So the joke’s on us. Writer-director Mary Agnes Donoghue is surely well-intentioned, but her tin ear and very-special-episode worldview miss the mark.
Lazy, schmaltzy, and on-the-nose from its Hallmark-friendly production design to its rancid pop-music cues and naive dialogue.
