It careens from one tonal extreme to the next, uncertain about whether it wants to be a gritty drama, camp artifact, or violent prison-sploitation flick.

To borrow RuPaul’s delightful catchphrase, the only possible response to a project like this is to advise it to “sashay away.”

More like an on-the-nose parody of Lee Daniels directing an episode of Oz, K-11 is a pulpy, tone-deaf mess of confused directorial intent—exploitation laughs one minute, somber tragedy the next.

Full of overwrought campery and vicious drag queens, K-11 feels in places like a deranged John Waters remake of "The Shawshank Redemption."

K-11 has the makings of a cult movie campfest but little of the authentic wit, edge or outré vision it would take to get there. What's left is a dreary jailhouse drama that somehow managed to imprison a few notable actors within its lurid walls.

K11 is a horribly made indie flick with tons of copied scenes from worldwide blockbusters. 2 minutes into the movie bore you and want you to chew more on your popcorn than watching this garbage. The story about violence and gangs and illegal distribution has been wrongly compelled. You should stay away from this K11 this season. Full Review »

k11 opens with a slow start and doesn't get interesting until the main character', Raymond ,meets Butterfly. After this interesting scene the movie goes downhill. K11 is presented through a large number of overly messed up scenes which weren't really necessary. It wasn't all bad though. K11 also has some interesting scenes that make it worth watching as long as you don't mind sitting through the more sickening parts of the story. Full Review »
