This is a funny movie. It's clearly not the best comedy movie ever, but it is enjoyable. It's worth renting if you're bored, and just want something to laugh at.

Not the best idea for a film. Not by far. Also, poorly acted and the director should be lynched.

Wasn't expecting much when it came on cable -- but turned out thinking it was pretty darn funny! Will Arnett is funny as always.

A work of subtle genius, this film explores the fine line between freedom and the restriction we place upon ourselves. It reminds us that we are as free as we would allow our spirits to be. Also, the cinematography was brilliant, exploring the texture and color of a free world versus the stark reality of prison. Brilliant!

Job Bluth...er, I mean, Will Arnett, is brilliantly funny in this crappy thriller. Did I say crappy? I meant good.

Not a bad movie, but WTF betermans inhailer got him into the mess at the start of the movie and theres nothing of it the rest of the movie. if it wasnt for that I would score it higher.

A brutally black comedy, well acted, well written, occasionally blotched by gross-out humour but otherwise damn fine. Don't trust the mouth-breathers rating it low on here, as I'd suggest they're the same people who hate films like Raising Arizona and shows like South Park. Given the subject matter and how well integrated the bleak social commentary about prison life is into a truly surprising plot, I'm surprised the guy from the New York Times was the only reviewer who seemed to "get it."… Expand

If you thought David Cross sold out when he started getting paid thousands of dollars to show up in music videos and star in She's The Man, just wait til you see Let's Go to Prison. Odenkirk didn't even try here and it shows. R.I.P. Mr. Show.

This was the worst movie I have ever seen. I love Arrested Development. I thought this movie would be like the episodes where Gob or Tobias are in prison. It is not like that at all. I wish I could wash my eyes really hard after seeing it and have the memory of it erased from my brain.

How a director could make someone as funny as Will Arnett look bad is a real task - but this guy did it. Looks like it's a highs chool production so much that it is dstracting. Some good scenes but feels like one long skit. stay away. People actually walked out of the theater i was in.

I watched this film numerous times and I still enjoy it. Yes it may not be the best film out there but its a priceless comedy that will keep you laughing through out.

There was more to this movie than the superficial and sometimes hard-to-harness humor associated with prison life. The ONLY thing that could even be REMOTELY funny about being incarcerated is the realm of sexual humor. But this movie had something more going for it than its humor. It also has a message, one that can be applied to just about any situation. For anyone that has ever doubted whether they can rise to the occasion, this movie is a representation of the fact that, given dire circumstances and the need to survive, people can surprise themselves with what they are capable of. A comedy with a message...that isn't an easy task to accomplish.… Expand

While the film does feature a lot of generic jokes about prison. The cast carries this film well beyond how good it should have been and they make it an enjoyable comedy worth watching.
