Sandler turns the joke around on his detractors and manages to lead a devilishly energetic vehicle that contains about as many laughs as his previous features combined.
It's funnier than "Bedazzled," which isn't saying much.

Certainly Sandler's most ambitious work. It's not just a bid for respectability but a genuine allegory.
Little Nicky is but a meek gross-out cousin of "The Waterboy."
Stoner jokes, awful gags, and just stupid stuff equate to one bad movie.
How much you enjoy this movie depends on how funny you find Sandler talking out the side of his mouth with a gravelly squawk -- for the entire movie.
Bad actors, bad music and bad plot make it a hellish bummer.
Different kind of role for Adam Sandler. He played it to perfection. He is the devil's son who doesn't even want him. His mother is an angel in heaven.

Even though Little Nicky had my favorite director Quentin Tarantino in it, it doesn't make me say it's the only thing that disappoints me about this movie.

I think it's a sign when the funniest part of your movie is a dog snoring that you've gone wrong somewhere. However this film does have one saving grace, in that it is only the second worst film with little as it's first word (being marginally better than little man).

Like The Waterboy just two years earlier, Sandler creates one of the most annoying characters in comedy history! This time it's a demon from hell. Sandler... you can do better.
