Stuck with flat material and a star more adept at responding to humor than generating it, director Stephen Herek, in a vain attempt to generate laughs, enlists Cedric the Entertainer, as a convict-turned-preacher.
So light it should wind up on the ''diet" shelf of the video store.
It's not a terrible premise -- It is, however, terribly executed.
And if you can't figure out who [the bad guy] is the minute he first appears, you've either seen too few movies with mind-numbingly predictable plots or you've seen far too many.
This one is headed straight for star Tommy Lee Jones's career-blooper reel.
Mindless, vapid fare... Watching the movie, you'll feel really dirty.
