  • Summary: After a rough first day of school, much-bullied seventh grader Max Keeble finds out that he's moving to a new city in a week. Rather than put up with the normal routine of school, he begins an all-out plan for retaliation on all the people who have picked on him. (Disney)

It's a clever plot with a minimum of the already tired standard kids-on-computers sequence and a maximum of silly face-to-face deflation.
  3. Bland, occasionally funny.

A shamelessly derivative, if basically likeable, kid's picture.
  5. It's just a setup for another bad sight gag that ends up where the script itself belongs, in the trash.
  6. This clunky juvenile comedy lurches among multiple story lines without fully realizing the comic potential of any.

I saw it so long ago and it's still the funniest movie I've seen in my life. Unlike most live-action films, it's stylish and colourful. A lot is simple but you watch Max perform and it's like you're watching him in real life because of its energy, which is mostly how it gets its laughs on it's own. It's not my favourite movie ever, but simply a must-see for young and old. Expand
