    This sucker was about a half hour too long. And that $40K/month psychologist annoyed the living hell out of me. This is a portrait of a band whose last good album ("And Justice") was hitting it big in 1987. Since then, it's pretty much been zzzzzzz..... As long as they keep playing the stuff from Kill 'em All, Ride, Puppets and And Justice, I'll be a fan, but it might be This sucker was about a half hour too long.     What's most captivating about Monster is that the camera never looks away and Metallica never hides.

    Pic itself is a long haul, at nearly 2½ hours; yet one needn't be a fan of Metallica or heavy metal to be engrossed throughout.
