Another slapstick comedy from the folks who created Police Academy by ripping off the comedy style of Airplane. [22 Apr 1985, p.4C]
Moving Violations is mentally inert, another sawdust-filled sausage for the adolescent market.
Laughs are widely spaced, and hardly seem worth the trouble. [22 Apr 1985, p.D4]
Just Police Academy all over again, without laughs.
Jam-packed with car smash-ups, predictable situations, and a few stock characters, Moving Violations is nothing more than the cinematic equivalent of a connect-the-dots puzzle.
An especially weak teen- age comedy even by today's none-too- high standards. Everything about it is either second best or second hand.
