PaulK.Jun 15, 20078This was actually enjoyable. The clever odds and ends add to the well written story. As far as summer popcorn movies go, this is a safe bet for families and anyone looking for mild comedy/mystery.

DanB.Jun 15, 200710Great! They didn't ruin the legendary Nancy Drew. They didn't make a joke of her. Instead they actually let Nancy maintain her traditional dignity and sincerity. Hollywood did it right this time! This life long Nancy Drew fan is extremely pleased with this movie. Nice job!

AlexaReymannJun 18, 20070Crap! Why is Emma Roberts acting? She is terrible! The only reason she is in films is because her dad is Eric Roberts and her aunt is Julia Roberts. She looks way too young to even be playing Nancy Drew, let alone to be driving a car in the movie. Boring and not true to the books many people have come to love. Its time we get some REAL talent in Hollywood!

KMcGowanJun 20, 20075True to the books, but the young actress is a complete bore, as life like as a plastic barbie doll.

[Anonymous]Jun 26, 20070I agree COMPLETELY with Alexa. Emma Roberts sucks and the movie was crap.

JayH.Mar 4, 20086Emma Roberts is beginning to develop into a good actress and is well cast. The movie is more enjoyable than I would have expected. Good mystery, it's always entertaining and it draws you into the story.

BonnieCJun 17, 20078I think it was a very good movie for older kids and adults. Nancy did follow the rules a little bit to much. She should of went over the speed limit to save her life! Otherwise it was a very good movie. I give it a thumbs up!

kayleighmsMar 28, 20088Car chases, gunfire, bombs, and more kidnapping attempts abound, but seem out of place even in Los Angeles. Nancy is not intimidated by any of the threats

50The culture-clash procedural, which brings the small-town teen to big bad Hollywood, feels more perfunctory than inspired.
-
30Purportedly an attempt to modernize the young detective's adventures for a new generation of tweens, the pic instead serves up stale mystery-movie cliches and overcooked red herrings in a thoroughly wooden adaptation.
-
50This tweener goddess--a virtual Batcave of handy accessories packed in her shoulder bag--may prove too annoying for general audiences, particularly as Roberts plays her comically straight.
