GregAug 8, 20044Having recently read the book "A Short Life" by Ian Jones, it was not a good idea to watch this movie expecting it to be 100% historically accurate based on the facts and probable events presented in his book. It's a movie for entertainment's sake, and fair enough, but even so I had trouble finding it as such.

GregT.Aug 2, 20046This movie was very slow in spots and could have maintained a greater momentum due to editing. It did have however have a certain appeal as Ned Kelly was portrayed as an 1870's Robin Hood, which may or may not be entirely true. Worth renting if you are seeking a hero of dubious origin.

SteveK.May 15, 20058Expect nothing, get much. This is a good movie, worth a rent, especially if you never heard of it and just stumble upon it at a video store like I did. But one thing, isn't Geoffrey Rush getting a tad bit typecast? I swear he's played the same guy in every movie since Shine.

KatherineG.Dec 10, 20040This movie was absolutely the worst movie I've ever seen. I actually am excited to see it again just because I cannot comprehend what went so wrong with this craptastic piece of nothing.

ElizabethC.Mar 26, 20045A bad movie, without Orlando Bloom's charismatic performance, it would have deserved a zero.

Expertly combining the personal and the epic, Jordan has crafted an excellent historical saga that doesn't collapse under the weight of too much history.
-
80An impressively staged, dark-toned revisiting of the life and times of Australia's boldest and most charismatic outlaw.
