    Can't decide what direction it's going in. Some of the time it seems to be a standard teen sex comedy. Occasionally, it appears to be spoofing the genre. It concludes on a romantic, almost honorable note.

    Even the snowboarding scenes that might have been the visceral heart of this thing are cut in such a way that we never get more than a few seconds of full-frame athletic skill; despite the real-life snowboarders doing the stunt work (including Rob "Sluggo" Boyce, Tara Dakides and Javas Lehn), it all looks like editing-room cheats.

    A ski party movie in which the clothes are a little more revealing than they were 35 years ago, the practical jokes are a little more tasteless, and the uncertainty over sex is pretty much nonexistent.

    As if to justify a serious discussion of this comedy before dissing it, some reviewers have pointed out that it evokes Casablanca. Maybe that's why the plot seems imposed on the characters.

    If you want laughs, just about every other comedy playing right now is good for one giggle, which is more than you'll get here. Just don't waste your time or money on Out Cold.

    It's the perfect image for a smelly and instantly flushable comedy that telegraphs punch lines in advance like a boorish dinner party guest.

    My friends told me that I *had* to see this movie because it was so unbelievably hilarious. I have to agree with the critics on this one: "Out Cold" is so bad that it isn't even fun to watch as a joke. It is one of the most thoroughly unfunny comedies I have ever seen. How bad does a script have to be to make Zach Galifianakis unfunny? This bad.… Full Review »

    I gave it a 2 because that's how many times I laughed. The characters were so lame I ended up rooting for the bad guys. I even went out back and got stoned and watched it again and it still sucked. The snowboarding was cool, but why not just watch snowboarding and lose the rest of the junk.… Full Review »
