A small, carefully composed film that rejoices in the parochial lingo and mores of its richly textured characters.

This darkly humorous, sometimes even raunchy film mostly eludes a typical cutesy, feel-good formula.

A terrific showcase for a troupe of fine actors who rarely find work outside the Australian film industry.
  4. At times it gets lost in the backwaters, but the eccentric characters and offbeat humor make it an entertaining detour.

This film is another very bad Australian 'fish out of water' movie, with bland, one-dimensional characters and a script which is flimsy at best. A poor attempt at quirky comedy. Expand
