Like much of Ms. Cody’s work, Paradise plays out in quippy sound bites, only this time they feel entirely unsuited to Lamb’s sheltered background.

Destined to please only "Rock Of Ages" fans who wished Hough and Brand had more screen time together, Paradise boasts the broadest, most saccharine tendencies of its writer and first-time director. In Cody terms, it’s a doodle that can’t be undid.

Paradise is neither a good film nor is there any evidence it was a good script.

Ultimately, Paradise is a tiny version of a saint’s journey among sinners, an immature conception. Peramb-you-later, Lamb.

If mean-spirited snarksters had set out to trash the reputation of "Juno" screenwriter Diablo Cody, they couldn’t have done a more vicious job than the Oscar winner herself does with her directorial debut.

I love Julianne Hough so I went to see this movie. Needless to say I was a little disappointed- the storyline was very predictable & acting was so-so. You know when you go to a movie and you're so involved in the story that you forget they are acting- I was hoping for this but it was just the opposite. Save your money. Full Review »
