  1. Brad Bird and Pixar recapture the charm and winning imagination of classic Disney animation.

That feeling you have as you leave the cinema - that buzzing in the fingers and lightness in the heart - is called joy.
  3. 100
In Ratatouille, the level of moment-by-moment craftsmanship is a wonder.
  4. 100
If there is a genius working in Hollywood today, it's animation director Brad Bird, who tops the delightful "The Incredibles" with arguably the finest 'toon in the Pixar canon, Ratatouille.
  5. 91
Bird and his co-writers leave room for quiet moments and gentle morals, but for the most part, they send visual gags and verbal punchlines tearing past at an enjoyably demanding speed, whipping up the film's energy at every turn.
  6. 88
What makes Ratatouille such a hilarious and heartfelt wonder is the way Bird contrives to let it sneak up on you.
  7. Ratatouille is a blithe concoction, as well as a miraculously textured piece of animated design.

Let me just say that I hate and have no respect for Patton Oswalt whatsoever for reasons I'd rather not discuss. But watching this movie, I could easily forget he's the voice of Remy, becuase I loved everything about this movie. As always Pixar, great job! Expand

I've been waiting for this blu ray movie for a long time. I tried to rent it many times, but it was always unavailable at the video store (blockbuster only had 2 measly copies of this movie in blu ray in the whole city. I live in Charlotte NC, I also tried renting it from Netflix and blockbuster online to no avail. All I saw in my queue for three weeks was "very long wait"); so my husband decided to take the risk and buy it. The animation is awesome, looks better if you are watching it in true 1080p resolution. The storyline was great. This is a movie everyone should watch. The music is beautiful. I really enjoyed every minute of the movie. Expand

An excellent film; not just an excellent kids film or an excellent animation film, an excellent film period. Wonderful.

One of the most charming movies ever made. no company in the world knows how to approach making a character, and remy is one of their best. this movie has everything. it has a great story, wonderful charm, clever humor throughout, even a couple of action sequences. also, if you're watching it on blu-ray in 1080p, this will one of the most breathtaking visual feasts you will ever come across. Ratatouille has more life, meaning and intelligence then almost every film out there. Pixar has always done a fantastic job of reaching out to children, while drawing adults in and Ratatouille is no exception. Expand

This was good clean fun and it had a charming simple story, the bit where the colours on screen describe the flavours of the food was inspired.
