  • Summary: Resident Evil: Extinction is based on the wildly popular video game series and picks up where the last film left off. Alice, now in hiding in the Nevada desert, once again joins forces with Carlos Olivera and L.J., along with new survivors Claire, K-Mart, and Nurse Betty. They set out to eliminate the deadly virus that threatens to make every human being undead--and they're out for justice as well. Since being captured by the Umbrella Corporation, Alice has been subjected to biogenetic experimentation, which has added genetically altered abilities such as superhuman strength, senses, and dexterity to her repertoire. These skills and more will be needed if anyone is to remain alive. (Sony Pictures) Expand

This is wall-to-wall mayhem that dashes from one stylish, splattery, nonsensical set-piece to the next, while the star attacks her silly role with the carnivorous brio of an ocelot clawing a side of ham.

Equal parts "Mad Max" and "Day of the Dead," this third and supposedly final entry in the Resident Evil franchise is no less derivative than its predecessors but moves along at a brisk clip.
  3. The actress, wielding a pair of swords like a chef from Benihana, remains a striking action heroine, though she's more convincing visually -- those taut thighs are weapons unto themselves -- than vocally.

Better than the silly second instalment and boasting an effectively creepy empty world setting, it’s nevertheless scuppered by a lack of coherence.

Almost all of it has to do with watching the occasionally nude Jovovich look absolutely smashing in duster and sidearms, but sometimes, let's face it, that's not enough.

Shoot ’em up, run ’em over, blast ’em with flame-throwers, who cares? These creatures are only there to go splat.

Not a GOOD movie but a FUN movie, good, old-fashion, shoot-em-up.

Now, this is the Resident Evil movie I was waiting for. It's awesome, cheesy and totally rad! I know, you might think I am stupid for liking this film but it isn't choppy like the films in this series, its better and badder. It's sweet zombie slaying fun with good suspense and hard knuckle thrills that enjoy for 2 hours straight. Good job, Russel Mulachy. Fire Anderson! Expand

I've got to say that it improves upon the first two, being such a great ride for me, as an action lover, but yet, I was left hungry for more and I really, really, really hate when that happens. Well, upon my review, it was good, but I saw little interesting factors. Expand

I was very disappointed. I REALLY loved the first two movies, and this one was horrible There were some cool effects, but the story wasn't anywhere close to the first two. It was very aimless in plot, and no real character development -- plus Alice wasn't utilized effectively emotionally AT ALL. The ending was just plain stupid. I can't express how disappointed I am -- I've been waiting 2 years to see this piece of trash and wish it had never been made. Expand

This movies vies with "Starship Troopers" as quite possibly the worst movie ever made. Really. Nothing in this movie was well done, by anyone.
