  • Summary: Resident Evil: Extinction is based on the wildly popular video game series and picks up where the last film left off. Alice, now in hiding in the Nevada desert, once again joins forces with Carlos Olivera and L.J., along with new survivors Claire, K-Mart, and Nurse Betty. They set out to eliminate the deadly virus that threatens to make every human being undead--and they're out for justice as well. Since being captured by the Umbrella Corporation, Alice has been subjected to biogenetic experimentation, which has added genetically altered abilities such as superhuman strength, senses, and dexterity to her repertoire. These skills and more will be needed if anyone is to remain alive. (Sony Pictures) Expand

This is wall-to-wall mayhem that dashes from one stylish, splattery, nonsensical set-piece to the next, while the star attacks her silly role with the carnivorous brio of an ocelot clawing a side of ham.

Equal parts "Mad Max" and "Day of the Dead," this third and supposedly final entry in the Resident Evil franchise is no less derivative than its predecessors but moves along at a brisk clip.
  3. The actress, wielding a pair of swords like a chef from Benihana, remains a striking action heroine, though she's more convincing visually -- those taut thighs are weapons unto themselves -- than vocally.

Better than the silly second instalment and boasting an effectively creepy empty world setting, it’s nevertheless scuppered by a lack of coherence.

Almost all of it has to do with watching the occasionally nude Jovovich look absolutely smashing in duster and sidearms, but sometimes, let's face it, that's not enough.

Shoot ’em up, run ’em over, blast ’em with flame-throwers, who cares? These creatures are only there to go splat.

I completely love this movie! Alice is such a bad ass once again and there are moments that let people almost dying. For more than once, I thought everyone was going to die. Another amazing movie! Speechless. Surprising. The RE saga is the best. Expand

After the last movie I had some unanswered questions, this movie doesn't exactly answer them, but actually adds one more, such as two characters from the last movie just weren't included in the movie (Jill Valentine and Angela Ashford) and there is no explanation as too why, but as it stands this is the best in the series, and I love the setting and the feeling of desperation in the world, and the zombies look fantastic, all in all if your a fan of the series or of Zombie movies in general you'll enjoy this. I've got to say that it improves upon the first two, being such a great ride for me, as an action lover, but yet, I was left hungry for more and I really, really, really hate when that happens. Well, upon my review, it was good, but I saw little interesting factors. Expand

It's daring in the sense that most of the horror takes place during daylight. The film introduction of some key characters in the Resident Evil universe is nice to see. Even though the zombies are supposed to me more evolved, they're boring and all look relatively the same. This wasn't anything too worthy of the RE name, and some plot points just don't seem to fit with the mythology. Expand

resident evil one was meh the second was abit better and the third just goes even lower . wellnow we have completely thrown pretty much every thing out the damn window in relation to the RE games plot line's . outside of a small aperiance by clair and wesker and some zombies its just some movie cashing in on the RE popularity. it has some decent action and thats about the only nice thing i can really say about this film . I tried to like it, I really did (I am a fan of the video game series) but its just trash. There is so little of a plot to it, That the entire film consists of really dragged on action sequences that are extremely boring. The acting is terrible. It has no excitement in it what so ever. The series needs to end because this film proves that its down and out. Expand
