• Starring: Ali Larter, Milla Jovovich, Oded Fehr
  • Summary: Resident Evil: Extinction is based on the wildly popular video game series and picks up where the last film left off. Alice, now in hiding in the Nevada desert, once again joins forces with Carlos Olivera and L.J., along with new survivors Claire, K-Mart, and Nurse Betty. They set out to eliminate the deadly virus that threatens to make every human being undead--and they're out for justice as well. Since being captured by the Umbrella Corporation, Alice has been subjected to biogenetic experimentation, which has added genetically altered abilities such as superhuman strength, senses, and dexterity to her repertoire. These skills and more will be needed if anyone is to remain alive. (Sony Pictures) Expand

This is wall-to-wall mayhem that dashes from one stylish, splattery, nonsensical set-piece to the next, while the star attacks her silly role with the carnivorous brio of an ocelot clawing a side of ham.
  2. The actress, wielding a pair of swords like a chef from Benihana, remains a striking action heroine, though she's more convincing visually -- those taut thighs are weapons unto themselves -- than vocally.
  3. If it weren't for retro-gartered Milla Jovovich, I don't know why anyone would want to survive the virus that is turning humans into zombies and destroying the Earth in Resident Evil: Extinction.

Milla has cemented Alice, and the film is excellent in action, lighting, stunts and effects. I could ask for nothing more. Saw it in theater, and on DVD, and it's a must-have for my collection. Portrays well, too, the gritty reality of the common person trying to survive against the corporate-political world intent on enslaving them. Well done by all involved, and I only wish there were more like it. Expand

I have never laughed so hard in my life during a movie in theater, i had to get up and leave come back, leave, come back and then eventually have to leave due to angry fans, the scene i am talking about involves a zombie attempting to master a "fisher price" shape recognition game, the writers should be given medals for attempting to domesticate zombies with serious acting (smiling zombies = laughter). It was a good action movie if you don't mind a couple boring scenes and repetitive kills, a comedy for the ages and overall great time at the theater. Expand

  3. "Resident Evil: Extinction" is so crappy, it even makes "Resident Evil: Apocalypse" look like a masterpiece.
