Tends to recycle jokes from the original at times, but does what it promises and makes a fun summer movie.

Now I may be considered biased in my opinion, I'm a huge fan of both Tucker and Chan, and I was there for the very first showing at my local theater, but I loved it! I'll admit, the story was no Pulitzer prize winner, but it was sufficient to link the scenes and almost every scene was just great! Chan's still got his moves and is learning comedy, Tucker's still got his comedy and is learning some moves, and they just work together that much better, while still maintaining that "odd couple" interaction that was so funny the first time! I guarantee I'll be seeing it again before too long, and I suggest you do the same! … Expand

Better than the original, this sequel is as it was billed, bigtime fun. I noticed no one left the theater until the end of the outtakes. I've never witnessed that before.

Great action comedy movie.

Chris Tucker made an excellent performance in Rush Hour and Rush Hour 2, and also Chan was great too. They fit together like hand and glove. They have good chemistry and there could be nothing more entertaining than watching two of the most talented actors together in the funniest movie I have seen yet!!

Mindless fun and entertainment. Not as good as the first, but still worth the price of admission.

Rush Hour 2 is very funny I really liked it!

Same old, same old, this is a pointless but even dissapointly shorter than the first. I only laughed about twice. Not a funny movie, Bret Ratner needs some more practise. But for this, its okay.

I love Jackie Chan, and Chris Tucker. And together they are the unstoppable duo. A mix of action and comedy, made me cry with tears of laughter and sweat because of anxiousness.

The best movie of the year by far. I watched it seven times in the theater, and still think that the movie is funny. In fact, I went out and bought the video. It's better than the original which may be hard to believe but it's is.

Anybody who doesn't laugh at least 100 times during this movie (I'm serious) probably has less animation than a tree (i.e. Al Gore).

It's the best movie. It funny there is action and fight scenes and chris tucker is just my favurite actor but jackie chan isn't bad...he's very good too.

Absolutely loved the first one, but this one was just OVER-done. Tucker is usually hilarious when he runs his mouth, but everything he said in this one seemed so forced and unfunny. There were exactly two moments in this movie where I let out a little chuckle. The fighting and action scenes were pretty good though.

I know not why the critics gave this series such bad reviews, I believe that this is a classic. Though it did kind of mimic the basic plot of the first and followed some of the cop hero movie clichés it still gave me good laughs and contains many quotable lines. It is definitely one that is a must see if you haven't seen it yet, if you haven't you must live under an uncultural rock. not a joke on many Asian vs American references.… Expand

In short, one of the worst movies I have ever seen. In long, it's an insipid trip through China where virtually all of the humor is derived from cheap sexism and racism (I'm really a guy that can appreciate the humor in this, but all of the jokes were so unoriginal and flat), as opposed to the fun and ridiculous situations in the first Rush Hour. Jackie Chan's acting is more tired than it has ever been before, and Chris Tucker's antics get worn thin after the first 5 minutes. To me, this ranks among the worst sequels ever made (right alongside Lawnmower Man 2 - there, I said it.)… Expand

Rush Hour 2 isn't quite as good as the first film (or third for that matter), but it is still rather funny at times and the plot is good enough to keep you watching until the end. I don't really know why it's the weakest of the three, but it just doesn't seem quite as good. Still very enjoyable and definitely worth a watch if you are a fan of the first film.
