A sturdily entertaining vehicle, easily the little guy's best American-made film.
The emphasis is on comedic interaction, not plot - too bad, "48 HRS" had both - but the pair adds spice to the predictable opposites-detract gags.

One of the best movies I've seen to date even in 2022. I just feel like re-watching this from the amount of action in this movie to the comedy put into there to even the smallest things like music taste. What shines above them all is the chemistry between Jackie Chan & Chris Tucker its just outstanding. The duo together is one of the biggest reasons why this movie is one of the funniest movies out there.

This good-natured comedy is set off by the high spirits of its stars.
There's a familiar feeling to the movie even beyond its twinkle-eyed martial arts melees.
The stunts are great but they make sense and don't blow the sense of reality of the whole movie.
The crime story here is lazily constructed, mostly an excuse for the give-and-take between Tucker and Chan, which is shrill and raucous without being especially clever.
There may be nothing new under the sun, but you can bet your life there's absolutely nothing new about Rush Hour at all.

A cult classic that still holds up to Jacki'es best American Hollywood features, not reaching the highs we have seen but still providing a fun enjoyable time.
The humour mostly lands outside of a few dated/lazy jokes, and the stunt work is watered down but good Jackie, with a typical "mid" forgettable narrative. However, the humour and stuntwork is really why we are here and Jackie delivers to a decent level in somewhat creative and fun scenarios. The American vs Chinese subtext is genuinely not what I remembered, and whilst not exactly subtle, is an interesting enough theme explored decently and with a development that seems fitting. To be honest, if you have seen a Hollywood Jackie Chan film then you know exactly what you're getting into here. Jackie gets paired with an odd couple partner whilst abroad in a foreign land, as the duo fight along side for an aligning goal as they gradually become a "team". Not his best work but a fun time worth revisiting as a background film, chill evening after work, or party film with a group of others. It will always be an easy to watch likeable choice.

Parts of this movie actually work... but then suddenly it's starting to get in our nerves to know why this trilogy has went down so hard on the score. Because the Rush Hour trilogy just needed less comedy and more action and somehow this movie got what it took.

C'est le début de la fin pour la carrière de Jackie Chan avec cette comédie hollymerdienne sortie tout droit du fond d'une poubelle. On a de la peine à son égard, à le voir coincé dans les stéréotypes pathétiques du Chinois aux Etats-Unis et affublé d'un comparse (conparse) agité du bocal et incontrôlable de bêtise ! Navrant !
