In his feature film debut, Little uses washed-out color and a you-are-there immediacy to tell a powerful wartime tale of survival, morality and honor.

Saints and Soldiers isn't a great film, but what it does, it does well.
  3. It's no earthshaker, but the indie film is refreshingly different from the current movie norm, it's won more than 15 awards on the festival circuit, and war-movie aficionados will find it well worth the journey.
  4. Shackles its characters with stale dialogue straight out of decades-old Sgt. Rock comic books.

An excellent movie that is on par with SPR , but completed with a fraction of the budget is quite an accomplishment. A movie for future generations to see how the everyday man of WWII generation truly did save the world. Expand

This is the greatest movie ever.
  4. Saints and Soldiers isn't the greatest war film by a long shot- Black Hawk Down and Band of Brothers guaranteed that. But it does give the audience an insider's viewpoint to the soldier's struggle with his faith, his freedom, and war itself. Expand
