Jigsaw is a wickedly fun villain, if you can put aside the implausibility of a guy who likes to saunter away from his deathbed to kidnap younger, stronger people and devise medieval torture chambers.
I love this movie the plot and the traps are so original the creators gave horror movies hope. I thought this was going to be the worst horror movie but its actually the best
Basically, this is a really good movie until the last part, where director and co-writer Darren Lynn Bousman ruins so much so fast that you'll wonder if his actions are deliberate -- or if the studio interfered.
There are some surprises to be had amid the cruelty (inflicted by both Jigsaw and his test subjects), but this time around the ordeal is less grueling than simply distasteful.
The explanation for all this mayhem eludes me, and even a lame last-minute twist isn't enough to cover the fact that Jigsaw ain't as clever as the movie thinks he is.
Another disturbing entry in the evolving psychopathic torture thriller genre, Saw II is more than likely to make you feel squeamish and nauseated at times. This is a morbid film regarding revenge in between people of relatable differences in an unexpected survival situation. The slightly improved cinematography and acting is counterbalanced with a slightly crowded group of cliche characters and immature dialog lines. This movie picks up the pace compared to its predecessor and keeps the mind accerlated and suspicious. As a warning, the resolution sequence happens rapidly, often leaving the audience slow to react, especially if they haven't seen the original.
Haven't even seen 30 minutes of it and I don't plan to. This film looks like complete crap. It's been made to make money due to the success of the first Saw which is probably my favourite film ever. This film **** bollocks, and I haven't even seen most of it. I just know. Don't bother watching this crap.
This film is not in any way thinking outside of the box. It's just very clichÃ.
Now that doesn't have to be the killing blow to a film, there are plentiful of good films that are pretty clichÃ.
However, this film is not only clichÃ, but have a storyline which a 14 year-old could come up with. I feel genuinely embarrassing that a grown up person comes up with something this shallow, and dare call it good film. It simply isn't a good film from a storyline perspective.
As regard to character development, there is nearly none. It really goes to show what the real purpose is.
The real purpose is as simple as a outlet for sadistic and primitive urges. Not that there's something wrong with that. But trying to market it as anything else than what it is, is just wrong.
If you like blood, unrealistic scenes(in a film that tries to be realistic) and no story to speak about whatsoever, then this is a film for you.
