A movie that plays better if you know nothing about it going in.
While it doesn't break any new ground or provide any revelations, Seven Pounds is unabashedly emotional and cautiously hopeful. It's the feel-good movie for these feel-bad times.

I cried myself to sleep after watching this film, A real masterpiece. This is definately one of Will Smith's better films, Possibly even his best. Definately up there with the likes of I-Robot anyway.

A lot of people being very harsh on the film. I really enjoyed it... I guess people are within their rights to slate things they don't enjoy, but I'm not 100% sure why critics are so harsh. It might not be an overly plausible storyline but it's still a well made film in my view

It's a con job that feels like a precisely attenuated work of art, elegantly weaving flashbacks and ellipses into the story in an effort to conceal how shamelessly manipulative it is in the end. And as always, Smith comes out a winner.
The movie gets just enough right that the things it doesn't get right (beyond its overdependence on a not-so-surprising story puzzle) smack you cold in the face.
Preposterous romantic melodrama, which uses a fractured narrative to cloud an absurd plot that would probably be laughed off the screen if it were presented in a straightforward manner.
The rest of Seven Pounds feels like a half-hour "Twilight Zone" script that has been pressed onto a gob of Silly Putty and stretched to the sinking point.
Dispiritingly obvious and phony from top to bottom.
well i would like to have as much of inteligence as you guys have. all of those who said it was way too predictable. Will Smith was awesome in this movie as well as Woody Harrelson and Rosario is adorable! It was certainly better than the Changeling and almost as good as the Green Mile. There are not many movies i am willing to see more times but i have seen this one three times already!

A dramatic film , but totally boring , very disconcerting , but the good thing was the resaltante starring Will Smith. The movie has not been brilliant as the interest of critics and viewers .

The ending is really a tear-jerker but this movie is spreading so many wrong ideas about organ donating, and this is really impossible going to happen in real life. Besides, looking for redemption is the selling-point but can't those who are taking the pain of doing so live a good life?

In addition to being a total crap, one of the most hateful things about the film is that perhaps the 95% of his screen time Will Smith keeps his forehead frowned with self-guilt and embarassment. Even watching that pusker between his eyebrows was so distracting from any kind of melodrama that it would make you tense in some way. Just everything about this film is shamelessly manipulative. In comparison, if Forrest Gump was an attack to your intelligence, this one insults not only your mind, but even the most sentimental version of yours.
