    A fabulous love story which picks you up and takes you to heaven. You can watch this movie five times and still love its complex passionate heart. One of my desert island movies.

    Lucia y el Sexo is quite possibly one of the greatest films we're all ever going to get to see. It's so rare for a film to magically engage every sense simultaneously, and, it seems to me, the films that manage this are increasingly coming from Spain and South America. This one is a masterpiece.

    This was a great movie. You've got the playing with time element, the destiny-fate vs coincidence debate, the hardcore sex, the gorgeous visuals of the locations, plus a great sentimentality and modern-day romanticism. A trifle long and there was a sun-moon metaphor that didn't do anything for me, which is why I didn't give it a 10, but you don't feel the length of the movie that much and it seems necessary. I don't know what you could cut out. The movie is better if you know spanish, but the translations were not that far off and pretty well done.     Was one of the top 10 audience favorites at the Seattle Film festival. I liked it so much that I saw it all three times it played!!!

    An adept mood maker, Medem strains madly for cosmic alliances, fairy-tale imagery, and fated coincidences, but he triumphs only with two hot bodies, a cluttered apartment, and a Shower Massage.
