    Very entertaining, if thoroughly silly.
  2. A cheaply voyeuristic story whose "twist" is hardly worth the wait.
  3. 40
An intriguing noir whose conceptual sophistication is partly undermined by naive execution.
  4. Cynical to an extreme, it doesn't illustrate its points but blasts them at us -- in italics, boldface and capital letters.
  5. The lapses in logic make a weak subplot about a serial killer on the loose just plain silly instead of provocative.
  6. Shadow Hours must stand simply as an impressive B movie. Compared with what we've seen lately, however, that doesn't seem like a bad achievement by any means.

A standard morality tale, and looks especially weak in the shadow of "Eyes Wide Shut" and "Fight Club," which it resembles.
  8. 30
Isaac Eaton wrote and directed; he evidences little talent in either department.
  9. A pointless modern morality play set in various sleazy locales that offer sex, drugs, assorted perversions, bare-knuckle fights, and even Russian roulette where lives are wagered for money.
  10. Tedious descent into cinema hell.
  11. 33
Without any momentum and lacking both depth and interesting characters, Shadow Hours makes sin seem pretty damn boring.

About as interesting as watching paint dry.
